If you’re a parent, you know you’ll do anything you can to avoid losing your child in a crowded place, like a street event, on the beach, in a museum or simply at the supermarket. But what would you do if it does happen?
It is important to know that a European hotline for missing children exists and can be reached by dialing 116 000.
Today the hotline is operational in 14 EU countries, being Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom. Thanks to a large support from children associations from across Europe, the hotline was even set as a priority in 2009 by the European Commission, which has promised to push for the implementation of the number until it is operational in every country of the EU.
Within the framework of a EU funded project, Missing Children Europe, the European Federation for Missing and Seuxally Exploited Children, asked VIP®Band to produce safety wristbands for children across Europe. Getting wristbands for one’s children is one of the many things a vigilant parent can do, to make sure that, in case his child gets lost, the person who finds the child can easily reach his/her parents on their mobile phone.
VIP®Band children wristbands are specifically designed to fit your child’s smaller wrist and offer a vast and colourful range of patterns which your child shall love, whatever its age or sex… If you’d like to give a try and get your own ID wristbands for your child, we’re here to help and advise you!
